Nut Tree Outdoor Nursery Logistics Manager
As the Nut Tree Outdoor Nursery Logistics Manager, you'll be tasked with providing logistical and operational support to the start up team in order for the nursery to operate at a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children aged 3-5 years upon opening in April 2021. Beginning in February 2021, based in our beautiful outdoor setting, this unique opportunity will enable you to have direct input into the culture of the setting, enhancing your leadership skills and experience, leading to a Nursery Manager position. 

You'll work with the nursery  start up team to support creating an enabling environment where children can develop and learn through play. You'll use your existing skills, experience and passion for outdoor education to deliver a fantastic experience for our children, promote our ethos and help to make Nut Tree Outdoor Nursery the best it can be.

We are excited to be putting together a team who see children as competent, able to lead their learning through play, supported by respectful adults who place their relationship with the children at the heart of their work at Nut Tree Outdoor Nursery.

Start Up Operations/Logistics

  • Ensure Nut Tree Outdoor Nursery are compliant with the law and Ofsted regulations

  • Review and implement existing policies effectively, including ensuring Safeguarding Policies are adhered to

  • Review and implement existing risk benefits

  • Work closely with the start up team, including preparing and sharing logistics with the start up team

  • Manage and oversee all onboarding procedures for new staff, including induction

  • Manage and oversee new enrollments

  • Ensure that the setting's philosophy is fulfilled and promoted

  • Be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times, both in work hours and outside 

 

Qualification/Experience

  • Experience of working in a nursery/private day care setting as either a Room Leader or Deputy Nursery Manager or Manager (or equivalent)

  • A relevant childcare qualification (Minimum NNEB, NVQ3/Diploma 3)

  • Minimum of 2 year's post qualification experience 

  • Preferable experience within outdoor education environment (desirable)

  • Experience of undergoing Ofsted inspections with 'good' OR 'outstanding' outcomes (desirable)

  • Experience improving or troubleshooting within a setting to raise Ofsted outcomes (desirable)

  • Ability to develop robust policies and procedures to support high quality childcare

  • A robust knowledge of the early years foundation stage

  • An excellent knowledge of the learning and development requirements and the welfare requirement
